Found this on the winelist, a rare find, and while I have never been the biggest fan of his St. Peray, I could not resist trying this; it is already quite developed with pronounced oxidized notes and a dry, mineral profile. Great food wine as of now, would not keep it forever, though. #Polly

Clape Saint Peray 2014. Strålende match til rypesuppe, men ikke så spennende uten mat. Nesen er dog flott. Glatt og flatt med steinete lang finish. Null syre. 89p?

Interesting white rhone, 100% Marsanne. I usually enjoy rhones more in the Fall as a hardier white to have with stews and more savory dishes.
This wine had some nice white fruits (pear, white peach) and flower nose and palate. Crisp acidity, that I have not had before in a white rhone (they tend to be flavorful, but more flabby)
This was a new flavor profile for me and was enjoyable

Charleston Offlineorama IV; 9/27/2018-10/1/2018 (Charleston, NC (various locations)): 100% Marsanne. I really enjoyed the first few sips of this wine, as I was getting some nice mineral/wet stone balance to the ripe orchard fruit. However after a bit it started to taste very fat and a bit flabby to me - almost with a pear drop type of heaviness. If I owned more of these, I would stash it away for a few more years and see if it smooths itself out.
