Last of 6 bottles, loved this BdB today after a day on the water boating. Bright citrus, gorgeous apples, and saline chalkiness. Loveley overall bottle, drink sooner than later.

Didn't catch the base as this was served from a cart in a restaurant... but it tasted good regardless! Classic BdB, although on the relatively full-bodied side, with some citrus fruit seasoned by light toast and, with air, a clearer Marmitey note. Pleasing sense of energy, and a zesty mouthfeel, whilst avoiding going too far towards being 'bracing' - an excellent aperitif, then.

Moderate lemon in the glass. Yeasty, biscuity; definitely dominated by secondary notes here. The palate is zippy, refreshing with that high acidity bringing out the fruit beautifully. Easy and approachable style of Champagne, but lacks a bit of complexity and depth. Paired with honeycomb cookies, was an interesting pairing where the honey of the cookies really popped.

La Paulée de Los Angeles Grand Tasting (The Fairmont - Santa Monica CA): Walkaround tasting. Brighter and longer, with the same yellow and green apples supplementing with some lemon zest.
