pinkish purple and full body in the glass. ripe and generous nose of blackberries and raspberries, some wood shavings, baking spices and sweet notes of coconut, vanilla, and bubblegum lipstick. big, bold, and structured in the mouth and with appreciable acidic lift. with time in the glass delineated fruit veins red berry play with the cinnamon and hints of tobacco spice. excellent balance and good length with a bit of heat.
15.3% AbV stated (and somewhat apparent).

Retail $38. Under cork. These were sent accidentally (I had requested another wine), but being one of the top wines in the Pedroncelli stable, I was aching to open this bottle. Fruity nose, even really fruity, with blackberry, plum, and boysenberry. Add in some spice, a bit of oak, and perhaps some clove. The palate is instantly fruity, but quickly balances out with a zingy acidity and silky tannins. Wonderful. 92 Points.

Winery direct. First wine from the first 4 bottle allocation. I must admit, I am impressed!
Color. Dark red. Not saturated.
Nose. Brambles, blackberries, raspberries, clove, cedar.
Palate. Cherries, cocoa, oak, vanilla, good tannic structure. Lots of good acidity. Very dry palate impression.
It's not like a seghesio, but that's okay. It drinks more like an Italian primotivo. Very yummy
