  (Eine Selektion aus den Steillagen, die nicht in den GG Weinen landen) Leuchtendes Rubinrot. Die Nase ist expressiv, reiffruchtig, tiefgründig, der Wein zeigt neben intensiver Frucht, dunkle und rote Beeren, auch viele Röstnoten, das ist jedoch nicht dieses aufdringliche Holz, sondern ein perfekt dosiertes Barrique eines noch jugendlichen Weins, ein wunderbarer Duft. Im Gaumen mit seidigen Gerbstoffen, einer top verpackten Säure und wiederum perfekt reifer Frucht, alles in grosser Harmonie. Lang, ausgewogen, niveauvoll. Ab sofort (dekantieren) mit Reserven bis 2035. Sensationelle Qualität zu einem überschaubaren Preis. 92 vvPunkte

  During a merchant walkabout tasting, so only brief impressions. Meyer-Näkel is a producer that I had encountered a few times before and like Stodden, these wines from Ahr region, which is even the north of Mosel, impressed me. Racy, complex Burgundian wines. The "S" is a blend of different Steillagen and impressed me very much, especially for the price. Spice notes, red and dark fruit, earthy elements.
