  • 90% Grenache Gris, 5% each Carignan & Mourvèdre. This has a real sense of ethereal depth that belies it pale color. Both delicious & thought provoking! One should never be w/o 1 of these in the cellar. Since I drink rose' young, I could do w/a cork. Alc 13% Outstanding value at just a bit over $17 locally. Not knocking Tempe Bandol Rose' but, for less than half the cost, I'll drink this happily.

  • Every time I have this wine I fall in love with it all over again. New vintage for me. A lightly fruited more finessed rose' than I usually buy but it has purity, elegance, finesse & character. I prefer to Tempier at less than half the cost. Going back for 3 more locally.

  • Wine Book & Book Wine Review #3: Appearance: medium salmon.
Nose: it smells almost like a white wine with guava, Asian pear, and slight pineapple. Rhubarb. There is wild strawberry as well though, and red berry dessert.
Palate: it is a little disappointing on the palate, showing mostly the underripe strawberry and a little bit of pear. At least there is no bitterness.
8/18. I was slightly underwhelmed especially with Kermit Lynch saying that this “just misses being as good as any rosé in the world”.

  • Bottled with a Nomacorc Classic Green enclosure, Domaine de Fontsainte's 2022 Corbières Gris de Gris is an approximate blend of 90% Grenache Gris, 5% Carignan and 5% Mourvèdre. Made by saignée and precluded from undergoing malolactic conversion, it is a pale salmon-colored rosé that offers nectarine, watermelon, kiwi, rose petals and lemongrass on both the nose and palate. Light-bodied, fresh, unoaked and without noticeable alcohol (13%), it stays solid in the middle and finishes with medium length. This is a pleasant warm-season sipper, although it lacks intensity and comes off as a bit watered down. Enjoy it this summer or next. Drink now-2024.

  • Salmon tinted candy floss and all the other pink confections. Strawberry gummies, dried mango, and raspberry lemonade...herbal backdrop. Blueprints of good southern French Rose' at half the price.
