This year we lined up 16 of the best examples of Grenache we could find. Tasters were a few friends, including Neal Martin, Greg Sherwood, Alastair, DF, and more.
This ranked #12/16 for me, and #8/16 overall.
Herb, fruit purity, gritty, intense but finely textured. Floral expressive. Very high quality wine that really shone and an absolute star given it was one of the cheapest in the lineup. I scored this 95 sighted and 96 blind.
4,104 bottles produced.
96pt

Still in the very competitive middle range of our tasting where the scores were super tight throughout.
Once again the Vivino avg is way off base here. Clearly don’t appreciate this style.
Sous-Bois, garrigue, smoke, crushed rock, spice. Lots of power and intensity. Fine green tannins. Very long. Love the crushed rock that lingers on the back out palate on the finish. Just excellent.
