{screwcap, 13.3%} I don't usually drink any red this young, but, well, times change. Fairly dark crimson garnet. Juicy, fruit-driven nose; smoky strawberries, raspberries, a little oak. But has a dark hue to the aroma and flavour as well; the red aspect is quite restrained. Juicy palate, riding on lively, natural acidity. Low, faintly gritty tannins, almost-medium weight, and a fairly even, refreshing palate of about medium length, with an exotic twist to the flavours. Nice effort, good for five years easily.

Annandale Cellars big tasting (Annandale Cellars, Annandale): Slight whole bunch is well controlled cherry, berry, sweet spice, jubey. Juicy, tangy, very slightly sour but okay.
