  • In a lineup of 3 really good Aubert Chards (10 Lauren, 15 Hudson and 13 Larry Hyde), this one entered. IMO it was second place finisher. Hyde was my favorite, Hudson is a little youthful and Lauren was a little TOO mineral driven. THIS is in a great spot right now. Nose of honey, melon, and a faint touch of butter and herb. Entry and front of this one was still rather acidic, melon and mango dominated, honeysuckle appearing in the back along with some minerality and herb. Oak is noted on the finish, which I was somewhat surprised to see at this age. Overall nice, and I think it's time to start dusting these off if you have them!

  • Too much oak for my liking. Underlying fruit quality is pretty good (and long) but i don't think that the oak will ever fully integrate. Good but not Great.

  • First white burg grand cru I ever bought. Delicious, but perhaps a bit lacking in texture, concentration.
