  • Light tulip color. Lots of oak vanillin at first which ameliorates over a few hours to reveal more fruit. Medium+ weight, not as glycerine and dense as these wines can be. Obvious oak tones, a touch of herbs, then some later citrus. The richness of the year buffers the usual acidity. At least excellent, but as usual, there is a lot of wood that needs to be shed before it comes into balance.

  • The nose initially shows soft woodsy notes and the fruit is hidden. Palate starts soft and round and drives toward citrus fruit finish with thouches of candied citrus along the way. Delicious.
