at 30yo and not showing any signs of fading. fruit is mature but classic Sangiovese. recommend decanting as it got better over the course of a couple of hours

Drinking beautifully here. Still showing some youth with plenty of fruit, although the fruit is mature, it’s not rolling over for 2023 to be the end of life.

Very, very nice! We decanted the wine for two and one-half hours after pouring it through two paper coffee filters. In retrospect, the wine required four to five hours of decant time. The wine's bouquet was warm and inviting; its taste was smooth, multi-layered, and very complex. As the wine resided in our respective glasses, the wine's taste become even more enticing and complex. The spices, dark fruits, and freshness were intoxicating. Oh, to only have another bottle or, better yet, a magnum of this beautiful wine to once again share with great friends. Bottom Line: If you see this wine in a reputable store, don't hesitate to purchase and enjoy it!

An even better second bottle with the same accompanying meal. Delicious notes of Sangiovese bramble cherry notes, deep rich soil, a bit of black cherry on the tart side, and plenty of aged wood. A pleasure with that medium but full seeming body that marries so well with Tuscan food.

Purchased recently, this provides the true pleasure of experiencing Sangiovese with proper age. With that, I would suggest immediate consumption, as I do not believe, despite the viable tannins that briefly present upon opening, that this will retain its balance for long. A nice dark red/ black hue with no signs of wear. And after 15-20 minutes, the veil of rough- hewn tannin yielded more of the leather.tar and less sweet dark dark cherry. Lots of tar, by the way, with some modest earthy tones on top of the leather and cherry. A good food wine, especially with prosciutto and Buffalo mozzarella.91-92
