  Italian Wine Scholar Class at the Texas Wine School. 80% Sangiovese, w/ Cab. Sauv. & Merlot. Clear med (+) ruby. Med intensity ripe red cherry, tart black cherry, blackberry, plum, violets, fresh herbs and sweet spice - although the winemaker notes only mention stainless steel, concrete and glass. Youthful. Dry, w/ med (+) acid, youthful tannins, and alcohol (13.5%). The palate is consistent with the nose. A nicely balanced, med (+) bodied wine, with med (+) flavor intensity & finish. Classic expression of CC; it will lose any sharp elbows w/ a couple more years of aging. Very food friendly and a super value at <$20.

  Restaurant BTG. Firm red cherry aromas and flavors, slightly austere, also firmer than the fruit merits. Ok overall, probably better 2024-2026.
