  • Deep, dark ruby and bricking. Mature aromas of cherries, conifer, earth, orange citrus, and exotic Asian spices. Crisp, crunchy red fruit on entry, black tea mid-palate turns sappy towards the close. The finish is minerally, with a spicy, red pepper flake aftertaste. Good weight, length, and depth. A touch more acidity would have garnered a higher score. Drink now.

  • Typical cherry on the nose with whiffs of baking spice, tea and slight florals. In the mouth the fruit presents a little sweetish with cherry and caramel tones. Unmistakably Californian with it's cola-like qualities, but also some earth backing it up in the end palate. For a wine approaching its tenth birthday this pinot is still giving, but the tannins are waning and the acidity isn't present enough to prop-it-up. I would have liked a little more back bone to balance it out but.... A great wine nonetheless. Tiime to drink it up.

  • Popped and poured. No notes taken. This has declined considerably since my last bottle in March of 2006. Just seemed to lack oomph/energy. Showing some alcohol on the finish. Way outclassed by the '07 Alesia Sonoma and '03 Chevillon NSG served directly after it. I'd recommend drinking remaining stock of this over the near term.

  • Good solid red, drinking well right now. More French than California in style. Great with thinksgiving dinner.

  • Awesome Pinot, a touch over the top but reallly tasty - Dark, full bodied with a nose of black cherry, cranberry, cinnamon, plum and vanilla, good balance and structure, quite 'big', sour and velvety smooth on the palate with excellent length, awesome (91 Points).
