Color: pale straw Nose: Pear, apple, honeysuckle, peach Body: medium+ with flavors of honey, more flowers, baked apple, citrus peel, minerality. Strong acidity Finish: very long with a mild phenolic bitterness to it. Continue to be impressed with how versatile this grape is and excited to try more producers and see what it tastes like with some serious age on it

Medium nose shows white peach, white flowers, mineral or wet rock, nicely floral, no hints at the sweetness you know is there. Palate is similar, citrus layers hit first, mineral, some phenolics, very clean, then on the finish you get the off-dry style with candied peach, honeysuckle, but it's very subtle, balanced against the acid. RS is somewhere is the 50 g/L range which you would never guess. Really well done.

Loire valley (and a little Champagne); 9/14/2023-9/22/2023: From 75cl P+P at Huet tasting room, Vouvray. Sweeter, rounder, fuller than the 2022 Haut-Lieu, this has exciting bitterness on the mid-palate, reminiscent of grape-seed, perhaps a fine grappa; long, lifted, honeyed finish. Beautiful wine now, will surely endure (and possibly improve) for 50 years. 93P
