  • A few words to start: complexity, purity, and focus. This wine is an exceptional representation of the wines of Montalcino, and unabashedly tells you that from the first swirl of the glass. Crystal clear ruby red.
Intensely perfumed with layers of earth, mushroom, violet, and licorice. The fruit aromas have depth too, ranging from seductive dark cherry to zippy and acidic green apple.
Impressive balance on the palate for the young wine. Both the acid and fruit are bright and fresh; there is no suggestion of overdeveloped ripening or over-extraction. Tannins play well together with the overall body, medium in nature but pronounced. Alcohol 13.5%.

Exceptional wine, and I hope to be fortunate and hold onto a few bottles for some years…
