Yarra, Mornington, Geelong wine tour day two (Yarra Valley): slightly ashy whole bunch, cherry and red plum, fruit lozenges, sweet spice, caramel oak. Sulphur prickle. Juicy tends to medium plus acidity, plenty of textured woody tannins lend bitterness to the back palate, fruit gets a little lost behind this, raspberry joins the muted cherry and red plum here. Non-intrusive alcohol warmth on the finish. Meh.

Tasted during a tour through the Yarra Valley with victoria, Martin, Bea and myself. This wine was the more serious one of the two PN's tasted: It had more body and substance and showed more tension even though at the end it felt a bit grassy. Massively overpriced, though at AU$ 130.- a bottle.

Ten months in 20% new oak followed by 6 months in stainless steel
Ripe cherries on nose, a bit of stemminess. Gentle acidity, tannins round and pronounced with long acidity to finish. More stems on backend
