  • Green apple, lemon, some minerality on the core but not nearly as much as I remember from previous vintages. Finish is on acidity but not nearly as long as I remember either. Might be wine changing, might be one of those wines where my expectations are out in front of reality. At <$20 it's still a great wine to put up against a couple dozen oysters.

  • There's ever still a little yeast and grape sugar flavor here. Insurgent bitterness to finish is all true to type—it's appetizing. Less granite (drama, severity) and more gneiss (pleasant floral gloss) means chill the bottle <50°F. Fruit is on the mature side, sticky peach mixes with green apple, cotton, saline, and conference pear.

  • Popped and poured. DIAM cork. Complex aroma includes lemon, flowers, pear. Rich flavors of peach, pear, minerals. Pear dominates the finish. Robust, rich, firm backbone, complex. Hard to believe this is the base wine from Domaine de la Pepiere, I can't wait check out the next level. Outstanding QPR.
