Quite nice in the MSR mold the first day, still a tiny overbalanced on the Zucker side, for my preferences. No legs on subsequent day. I may have taken too much for granted with this wine: I have a stash of them I've been holding for 'real' MSR maturity. Not sure this is up to top standard for the region.

And a perfectly representative one just to mix things up after several bottles at various degrees of over-the-hill. Candlewax, apples, caramel, but full of life and vibrancy: proper, fully mature, riesling. Acidity and sugar sitting alongside each other - not at all syrupy or a dessert wine.

Just a quick note as this was enjoyed a few days back. This is peaking and beginning to show notes of caramelized sugar and breadfruit. At 18 years, it still has tension and verve with a whirl of apple, lemon, white flowers and minerality. A lighter weighted auslese from a very good vintage. Enjoyed with grilled lobster the bottle didnt last long. If you have these drink up. Purchased as direct import and stored accordingly. Enjoyed 40-50 degrees… Na zdrowie

Really tired. So much bottle variation in this case. Cheap corks I fear.
