Full bodied, dense and creamy. Just enough acidity to balance. Some minerality. Not very complex, but the mouthfeel is stunning! Mature and fine now. Wish I had more bottles..

Exceptional white Hungarian wine, our first experience with a dry tokaji, with Szepsy wines and with the furmint grape. Enjoyed with Kim at Jasmine at the Bellagio in Las Vegas along with their superb tasting menu at the encouragement of their outstanding young sommelier Sarah. This was a real eye opener. Initially my impression was that of a semi-sweet wine but as it interacted with the food more it was clearly off-dry, very crisp and clean and minerally, really reminded me of an Austrian gruner veltleiner or an Alsacian reisling. Fruity nose, citrus and lemon grass and frangipani. Good mouth feel, relatively subtle, smooth and nice lingering aftertaste. Primary flavors included grapefruit, a hint of vanilla, lemon grass, white chocolate and some white pepper on the aftertaste. Highly recommend this wine, very pleased to have had an opportunity to try something completely different.

New world cult wines (Erik's apparment): Pale yellow color. Aromas of white flowers, asparagus and a hint of green melon. Intense taste of tropical fruit. Very fruity, with some pears first and blood orange on the finish. Great mouthfeel, balance and length.
