Medium-light ruby. Smelled red fruit, tasted the same a little more sweetly, decent acidity with somewhat weirdly evident tannin, a little bitter going down at the end. When you're making coq au vin and you want to be somewhat "authentic" with the wine for the marinade, this is just the thing, and the little bit that's left over in the bottle is a bonus for the chef.

Exactly what it is meant to be. Retains some degree of old world style while being simple and easy drinking on the very cheapest, at least for Burgundy. Went well as a weeknight wine with oven roasted chicken and mashed potatoes.
I had half of the bottle. Held remarkably well over 4 nights with vacuum seal in the refrigerator. Vvv

Nice color. The nose shows somewhat muted aromas of ripe berries, flowers, spicy earth and a hint of oak. This is medium bodied on the palate with very good concentration and good class. The medium length finish features integrated tannins.

It's what I imagine you'd imagine it would be like.
Lower register PN, a bit rustic and earthy, raspberry & red cherry, fine custard powder on the teeth & tongue. Nothing lifts it above, ok.
There's better out there for £20 or so. 83/4 seems about right.

Is it too young? Light body, lacking complexity. Than again, I’m very picky about Pinot noir.
