  • I have never read a review that I agreed with so much as the one I have just read…. I then I realised that it was me that wrote it! Well here I am again with the same experience. Fantastic! Pure, pure juice. A very good bottle - poured from the coravin last time and now opened.

Vosne spice. Excellent balance of fruit. If this wasn’t a great vintage it was certainly a great wine maker.

And it’s goodbye to my 06 premier crus from Bruno Clavelier.

  • Pure pure juice. A fresh lift to the nose with some secondary notes and Vosne spice. Is this really 15 years in bottle? Pure fruit with well balanced acidity on the palate.
Medium bodied and elegant. Medium/less extraction.
So disappointed that in my ignorance I drank the rest a few years ago.

  • Late night big session at Maison Dakota. Drank in Grassl Cru.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of dark red cherries, ripe strawberries, stony minerality, dark Vosne spice, dark earth. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), fine medium+ tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of dark red cherries, ripe strawberries, red plum, dark Vosne spices, sweet earth, slight wild meat. Long finish.
Very good quality. Approachable with a fair amount of air. Wow looking back on my previous tasting note this is really quite similar and seems to have budged only a little. I would say more time maybe another 3-4 years.

  • Cork broke in half again. Wine showed OK but really nothing special. Hasn't developed much in the cellar and now is a bit tired.

  • Cork broke in half and was rather saturated. Wine was completely sound and highly enjoyable. Showing a touch of secondary with a nice minty note.
