Oak spice, dark fruit, cola and nail polish. Palate was sweet with soft tannins and oak. Showed the vintage’s ripeness and concentration for a village wine. The oak was a bit too big for my palate.

Popped and poured, then consumed over 2+ hours. Dense black fruit aromas, slight showing some pronounced new oak spice. Blackberry and black cherry flavors, dense, meaty with an intense concentration worthy of 1er. Tannic to start but more air was this wine's friend tonight, as it kept lengthening with more time, also showing more grace and elegance. Just at the early stages of its peak drinking window.

One of our favorite Village level wines. Mussels with white wine sauce and French bread!
