  • I remember tasting this wine the first time with some expert friends. The wine was closed, very reductive without fruit, all in all more lean than bold. This has changed. Dreistern got more fruit driven last year. Today there is freshly cut wood and quince. The colour is still young. Intense yellow. No sign of age. After some time there is more vanilla. At first I get yellow fruit in the mouth and some salt. Later there is vanilla and quince. Just a little phenolic sensation. Very fresh and ripe acidity. Stays long en bouche. A very individual wine. Maybe not for Ca de Fratti people. This is serious stuff. Nothing fluffy, nothing heavy. Pretty idiosyncratic. Goes well with Chinese spicy rice and vegetables.
