  • The nose on this wine ! Just to savour that is a joy that reminds us the beauty that can be achieved by top end Burgundy. Soft smoky, dark fruited, lightest hint of earth. So bright and expressive , vibrant too. On the palate the wine does not follow the same level of the nose but still a beautiful wine across the spectrum. Still very little if any secondary notes. Well round, savoury , well assimilated oak. We frankly expected more of an oaky dynamic given the style of LLM but this 2006 has assimilated the oak fully. Such a beautiful wine just entering its secondary stage (!) and with a good decade at peak and definitely with 20 more years of life in our view. 94-95

  • Excellent on the nose. Great Long finish. Clarity and complexity all in one bottle. Drink straight up from bottle. No decant needed.

  • Lovely Lovely wine. Light, buoyant, crisp and clear red makes it just look majestic with class. This is to be enjoyed slowly and absolutely no need to hurry. Nose is great with the complexity and seduction to tempt you. First sip will give you that smooth and refine drips that will tease you further. Just simply elegant.

  • Consistent note. Appearance bright ruby, no browning. Nose of spices, cherries and sandalwood. Brilliant, focused fruit on the palate, with impeccable balance, and tannins and acid in check. A gorgeous wine, drinking beautifully now.
