This wine, proves yet again that 2006s (at least at the lower end) are showing very well at the moment. Really lovely pure red fruits with lovely secondary nuances. Medium bodied with an excellent finish. Great QPR.
Decanted and drunk over several hours at a group tasting event. The color is vibrant cherry, with a translucent rim. The bouquet was attractive, yielding pretty notes of cherry, spice and hint of burgundian earth. On the palate a strong mineral backbone was dominant with light sour cherry and strawberry peeking through. Pretty, but on balance underwhelming given the lack of fruit and flesh. I'm tempted to conclude that the wine is shut down at this stage, rather than past its prime.

I'm sorry to see this is my last bottle of 8 purchased, having drunk through these way too fast. This bottle showed like many of the previous ones with a pretty, red floral nose that is inviting and a palate giving up impressions of dark sour cherries and a strong mineral streak. I see several years of positive upside development here and find that there is a lot to like about this wine...not the least of which is the excellent QPR it represents.

Still quite primary, deep red cherry and raspberry fruit. Clean(almost too clean). but very delicious. Wait another 5

Selection Becky Wasserman Tasting (Tribeca Grill - New York, NY): Tasting. Big and dense fruit, somewhat firm and backward today, with structure a bit dominant for the level and quality of fruit that came through today. Needs perhaps a decade in cellar.
