This wine was fantastic. Stored properly and pulled from a temperature controlled cellar. It took an hour to open up. When it did, aromas of dried black fruit, tobacco, cassis, plum, and leather arose. On the palate this was med+ body, med acid, and med- tannin. Fully integrated and ready to be enjoyed. This wowed our group of BDX lovers and could have easily beaten many of the mid 90s Bordeaux we’ve tasted recently. This is a totally sleeper!

Opened by inexperienced waiter and waitress (it took both of them) at a favorite Chinese restaurant. They brought about a half bottle of murky crusted wine in a carafe to the table, and apologized. Whatever. It smelled delicious--leathery and very Bordeaux-like. We drank what there was in spite of the haze and considerable inclusions, and it was remarkably fruity and tertiary all at once. Plums, black cherries, green olives, mushrooms, blood and guts. Quite an experience! I can't wait to open one correctly and reassess.

Opened, filtered and decanted. Wonderfully vibrant nose with dark fruit, spice, leather, cigar wrapper and hint of toasted oak. Flavors followed the nose with distinction and enough separation to detect each with ease. Long finish. Plenty of life but likely not improving. 91-93.

Very dusty, not terribly interesting but drinkable.
