Weekly tasting group #020; Syrah / Shiraz (@ DJ): Blood red with a slightly carmine rim. An almost aggressive bouquet with yoghurt. On the palate yoghurt as well, some tart cherries and tart plums. Not surprising a lot of (added?) acidity. Not a pleasant wine. Maybe it should have been drunk several years ago, but I nevertheless score it.

8% Barbera, 1% Zinfandel. Medium bodied palate predominately of blackberries with a slightly herbaceous character. Decent amount of oak. Smooth medium-length finish. Very drinkable and a decent value as well at under $10.
