This wine started out with notes of soy sauce on the nose, which gave way to notes of macerated, rip red cherries and tar. The palate shows virtually the same flavors as the nose. The tannins in this wine are completely resolved, and it seems, at this point, to be lacking the structure I associate with a great Brunello. The wine is quite dynamic in the mouth, but the finish is quite short and ends abruptly. Very good wine, but not exceptional.
