The acidity seemed more prominent a bit more volatile than the other bottle but was still incredible. Smoke, leather, earth, truffle characteristics made for a delicate and very long finish.

Completely seamless and gorgeous. Some smokey roasted game and wet earth on the nose. On the palate the nose follows through with tart blackberry and dark black fruit & a great level of acidity.

Dry and a bit more delicate than previous bottles of same vintage. Still terrific, but perhaps it is past peak - I recall this wine had even more of an earthy character.

This wine is every bit as good as it's big brother, Paolo Bea Sagrantino di Montefalco. Paired with Rib Eye, it has the sweet tanins, and rich, long backbone, provided by the 15% Sagrantino. Bea makes some great wines. Bravo!
