Monthly Tasting Group HWS #077; Round the Corton hill in Burgundy (By BD): Fairly dark yellow. The bouquet is a bit reticent, but there is good complexity, mild yellow fruits and good vanilla from the oak. On the palate full bodied with luxurious oak, caramel, but also concentrated tropical fruits like pineapple. Elegant acidity. Great length. A beautiful wine. Early maturity now and no problem keeping this until 2017+

(Château Corton-Andre Corton-Charlemagne) Deeper yellow - and it shows on the nose with plenty of toasty oak - just about avoids being excessive. Sweet with decent concentration but despite good acidity it lacks focus.
