Golden colour. Intense peach nose with honeyed notes. Seems less acidic and sweet than the last time I had this a few years ago - it has been sitting in my cellar dormant. Opened up very nicely over two hours - quite fat in the palate with a medium+ finish. Incredible towards the end - the second last glass showed tartaric crystals (wine diamonds), then the last had the largest clump I've ever seen in a glass. That explains the evolution then. A very interesting bottle.

Bottle had more than a little undue oxidation. Underneath was a very big, very rich, fat even, Riesling. Very full bodied. Lush texture. Botrytis apparent. Med/low acidity. Drinks off-dry. Off a store shelf several weeks prior (shop replaced bottle with 2007 version which was a beauty).

Weekend in Paoli; 4/1/2011-4/2/2011 (Paoli, PA): Golden colored. Lush nose of peach skin, petrol and honeycomb. Rich peaches, honeyed pears and honeycomb on the palate. Nice petrol and white peach. Butter toffee on the finish. Nice. Wikll improve with age for sure.

Took to a superbowl party. PNP, no formal notes. Medium gold color. Nose of apple, a little floral, a little tropical fruits, and some minerality with a little petrol hint toward the end. Palate of apple, light honey, a little pineapple, a little bit of petrol and some minerality at the end. Finish was above average to long in length. Kind of fat, but some acidity present to keep it in check. Solid bottle for the price.

11/14/2011 - Fur in the glass Likes this wine:
Green apple and grass on the nose, very easy to drink but not a light wine. dry quality grew on us. Touch of honey came up as it got warmer
