So happy to have opened this tonight. Worried it might be on the downward slope but still very enjoyable. Nose a bit muted but after 1/2 hour in the glass it opened up to darker fruits and a bit of subtle leather notes. Tannins have definitely lessened but still there. A very very nice 16 y/o Columbia Valley cab.

This wine is in such a great place right now, I am sad that this is the last bottle I have. Really dark in the glass with dark red fruit, tobacco, and a bit of heat on the nose. Once past the lips, this wine begins to sing—subtly at first, but then with more vim and vigor. Surprisingly good fruit with bits of tobacco, leather, and earth. Falls just short of a Whoa. thedrunkencyclist.com

The cork was a complete mess, or maybe it was me (it was the third bottle of the night for three of us). The wine certainly seems to be on the downward slope, but there is still a lot of goodness there. Dark berry fruit and earth with plenty of interest with a balance that would certainly welcome food (or live very happily on its own). Diggin' it. thedrunkencyclist.com

Rich nose of mocha and some red fruit and the color belies the age--dark Crimson with no real sign of bricking (age). On the palate this is really wonderful. Great fruit predominates with nearly fully integrated tannins. Drink soon! thedrunkencyclist.com
