Oily diesel nose, focused apricot, overripe mango. Thick and super syrupy palate. This is thicker than any young Yquem that comes to mind. Haven't really experienced any Riesling close to this level.
Quite something.

Served from magnum by Egon Müller himself during a BYOB dinner after the Auction, oh man this is really quite something else. One of the best wines ever?! Lush and delicate!

2005 Botrytis Forum - NEW YORK (downtown): ungodly ambrosia... ridiculous stuff. (price to match but...) eiswine-like zing (350 RS!!! 5.5 alc, 15 acid) flowers, sweaty riesling nose, apricots, nailpolish. on the mouth - pure power, burn-your-throat acid streak, light and pure - no sign of botrytis-caused heft, unending finish... this is a legend in the making.

Candied fruit, energetic fine acids, mineral laden wet rocks. Very young. Spectacular.

World's Greatest - Night I (Eleven Madison Park): This was a Goldkapsel, and I believe also an Auction bottle, to close out an insane evening.
