Yummy. This opened up nicely after a 1 hr decant. The red fruits really came thru.. Raspberry strawberry pastry and a nice black tea and Black pepper balance. Well made a long finish.

Dark ruby-garnet. Sweet nose with ripe cherry, violets and black pepper. Mid+ bodied with silky tannins, rich fruit and moderate acidity. Fairly long. A decent, typical southern Rhone red at a decent price.

This really needed a longer decant than I gave it. 1 hour in and it's still tight. Nose has some good dark sour cherry fruit and spice to it with a good serving of earth aromas. The pallet has some strong tannins and is still young. Wish I could have given this another year or three. At the 2 hour mark this really smoothed out. The pallet is softer and the tannins are less in my face though still very evident. Good tart cherry in the mix. Nice longish finish that lingers for a good while. Would buy again.

Similar impression to 7/31/09, although I could not come to the same conclusion without allowing this wine to aerate overnight. It showed very little when first opened and serially tasted over three hours. Drink now-12/13.

I had this wine about a year ago and it was fat and chewy. Today it was light, resolved and ready to go. Good peppery fruit with morello cherries, dusty earth, tannic bite and nice follow through. After tasting similar wines at 5 times the price from this region I'd say this is actually not a bad wine. Pretty decent stuff at £12 a pop. Drink soon
