Likely off its peak at this point. Nose has faint fruit, very little oak. Palette a bit flat, some nice candied fruit up front but very little evolution in the mouth, finishes flat and with little tannin. I'm sure this was great once, but just waited a bit too long...

E&R's Pinot Noir-egon Weekend; 4/24/2010-4/25/2010 (Portland, OR): This wine KILLS the 2006 incarnation of it, which was a hot mess. Amazing their 2006 Chehalem Mountains is drinking so well. Back to this, it shows a very pleasing nose, if a bit oakier than the 2006 CM wine, but pleasing similar forest floor and some juice concentrate. Very nice attack on the palate; this is a big wine, but soft in texture, showing tart tannins, building acid, and some barrel funk. A little hot and astringent on the finish, but also spicy, with thick fruits. Very nice overall, but the finish does ding it a bit.
