Popped and poured it was tight. Dark fruit, but it needed more time to open up. I get the plums on the nose, and the earth came though on the palate. Decent QPR. I think the hype from friends may have made me a bit disappointed, but overall it was good.

tried at glowbal in yaletown with a medley of gourmet grilled food. initially not sure what to expect. first washington state wine. bordeaux blend - cab sav, merlot and cab franc. must say was very impressed with kamiakin overall flavours. on the nose - chocolate, plums, berries. on the palette very beautifully integrated. if i was blindfolded would totally think this was a napa wine. anyways drank very well. not sure if its longterm age worthy. but read with this wine, the grapes are the unused portions from their premium wine so its one of those great treats without the price tag.

Fantastic red wine. Very smooth with velvet texture. Deep red color that tastes earthy and meaty with hints of currant. This wine is ready for drinking as soon as the cork is popped! A fantastic every day wine, I highly recommend picking one up between $15 to $20 bucks, if you can find it.

Cinnamon, plum, cherry and forest floor dominate the profile of this blend. Nice finish and a good value overall.
