  Fullbodied and beautifully structured powerful palate with plentiful and dry red to dark fruit, serious tannic bite and carrying acidity. Powdered and chewy. Smoke, earth and quite some dusty oak. Fine weight on the mid-palate and pleasent aftertaste showing a bit more tightness.
  Very good effort. But this sure is rather young and needs food to truly sing.

  Flowers, cellar, leather, spices and tar.
  Powerful, tight and very long but still round and open.
  Complex and elegant in perfect balance.
  Impressive. Available now (2010) but will live on.

Finish is not the fullest, but quite long and with substantial tannins. On it's own the finish might be a bit too drying, but this wine was served with roast of lamb with strong and complex tastes, and that was a terrific match. The main elements of the wine blended very well with the meat and the fat, and it all floated atop the tastes of the accessories. First Barolo I've tasted from this producer, and if this is a mediocre wine (ref his website), I wonder what his good wines taste like...
