loved it. Golden caramel straw colour. Overwhelming lychee nose, which was fantastic. Pear, honey, and caramel palate with a luxurious silky mouthfeel that coated and lingered. Thanks Brad and Aubrey for giving us this great bottle of wine! Although the seared/poached pork chops in a parchment bag with steamed apples, and sauted shallots would have been fantastic with this in '04, I think the time in the cellar was well worth the wait.

Beautiful gewurtz in a nice place right now. Lovely golden colour, and classic gewurtz on the nose. Nicely complex palate, starting out off-dry, but then finishing drier. Lots of tropical fuit, but then some interesting smoky flavours and even a hint of caramel. Classy, rich wine (A-).
