Light golden with rigorous beading; fresh and clean style, even smells dry; spritz of lemon over green apple notes; a tad yeasty; attractive spice notes; pleasantly dry and refreshing. Disgorged 2/19. Shared with Xavier94, clearly I enjoyed it more.

On the dry side for sure with yellow and green orchard fruits thrown in with some leesy toastiness. Long, tangy finish with evident acid extends the length of this wine. Salted-type mineral texture throughout. I have enjoyed this bottling more in the past from other disgorgements, maybe?

Mostly 1998s (Washington, DC): Gold colored. Delicious nose of honey and biscuits. Rich on the palate (an old disgorgement that’s showing pleasant age) with flavors of bruised apple, lemon bards, and notes of almond and honey. Some cool minerals, chalk, sea salt with rich and nutty elements.

Pale gold colour. Small and lazy bubbles. Medium and developing nose with yellow apples, lemon, biscuit, walnuts, toast, charred wood and wet stone. Medium (+) taste of yellow apples, white peach, lemon, biscuit, toast, charred wood, walnuts and wet stone. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium body. A very good Premier Cru Champagne. Drink now or over the next eight years. Goes well as an aperitif, or with shellfish.

Very dry, showing a bread quality that I find pleasing in champagne. The wine is also distinguished by its finish which shows a bitter quality, evoking brown butter or even liqueur. Recommended.
