One glass from coravin. Needs an hour....mold blows off...changing ever 5 mins....Cherry, plum, leather, tobacco...tannins have faded. Keep reminding myself this is 20 years old! Good with filet...will drink the rest of the bottle over the next couple of weeks.

On the lighter side in body, and without a huge amount of complexity, but a very pleasant Pomerol. Fully mature, a bit of lead on the nose, smooth on the palate, tannins fully integrated. A fine companion to the lamb, and a very easy drink both before and after the meal.

Medium ruby/garnet core, medium pale ruby rim. Reasonably developed, open, medium intense nose showing plum and strawberry fruit, plenty of earth some spice and iron. Medium bodied on the palate, medium intense fruit with similar flavour profile to the nose, lots of soil notes, some tea coming through on the mid-palate, fresh acidity, some firm tannins still which become a touch intrusive on the medium length, savoury red-fruited finish. Probably one to drink sooner rather than later as it may start to dry out.

The fruit in this is mature, but there is some freshness. Medium, weight, a little rustic, and perhaps a bit elderly. Drink up.
