Gourmetklubbens fyrtiofjärde middag: Tema Mannerström (Södermalm (P+H)): (Disgorged in 1999, base year 1995) Yellow colour with a stream of very fine bubbles lead way for the mature nose showing chocolate and oranges and with time in the glass it shows some marmalade fruitiness in a very pleasant way. Creamy palate with a yellow apples and with a smooth citrus acidity and some dried fruit on the mid, before the finish showing some burnt butterscotch notes. This has held up well in the cellar for a couple of decades and should keep well for some more years.

Antique gold appearance. Ripe stonefruit, loquat, and apple bouquet over notes of fresh and dried lemons and almonds. Good tension between youth and maturity. Lovely bottle age on the palate enhances the ripe orchard fruit flavors and the bright, crisp mouthfeel. Lovely weight and busy bead, with hints of quince and brine on the back end. Good length on the tasty finish.

Nothing left to this. No pop upon opening; no bubbles; color and taste of cider. I love aged champagnes, but this bottle was DOA.

Very smooth, not dry and not too sweet. Letting cellar for 17years makes a difference!

Better than last bottle, nice acid, less bread.
