beautiful nose of Cal pinot spice, but palate not as complex and alcohol (13.8%) and acidity seemed off balance, hot; seems like the wrong style for this high-elevation, coastal vineyard

Popped and poured. Light red; clearing at the rim. Cherries on the nose but quite reticent. Smooth on the palate without a lot of depth or complexity but with a slight austerity that is typical Sonoma Coast.

Got Tobacco (Cigar leaf), floral scents, plum at first on the nose. After a while it was more fruit driven, primarily plums. The taste was all cranberries which didn't really change much on day 1. Will revisit on day 2. Kind of one dimensional, but that one dimension is delicious..

Medium ruby in color. Dusty with spice undertones on the nose. Long, dusr=ty red road was our first flavor impression. Medium to light-bodied initially, gained weight with some time in the glass. Some tobacco and drting tannins on the finish. I did not enjoy this as much as the first bottle I had of this and would have scored it lower, probably 90-91.

Didn't take detailed notes on this one but I do remember enjoying.
