A very pleasant dessert wine. Brown sugar on the palate with a nice medium finish. Despite the alcohol no heat. Although this was a dessert wine, it was a little too sweet tipping it towards being slightly unbalanced.

($11) Strawberry seed nose is very captivating. Medium-bodied and moderately soft but with good concentration of flavor. Sweet lush fruit with just enough acidity. Overall the acidity is low. A blend of 50% Tinto Roriz, 30% Tinto Barroca, and 20% Touriga Francesca.

($12) Deep color, mostly opaque garnet. Nose is grapey with mild mushroom and wet earth must adding interest. Also a touch of wood. Medium-full bodied, ripe, fairly complex, moderate acidity. Bright cherry flavors. Touch of stem in the nose adding additional interest as the wine opens and I become accustomed to it.
