We were amazed at how fresh and strong this wine was! 15 years old and not the Reserva. Nose of dried rose petals with prune shavings. Evolves in the glass over time. Tastes mature and the blend of Portuguese Touriga (Nacional and Franca)is perfect - weirdly like a mature Bordeaux (especially Left Bank). The tannins are still there. This wine will still be good for a few more years.

Light meaty, earthy, and truffle notes compliment dark fruit and spice on the nose. Medium body and lots of structure give it great food-pairability. The finish is long, rich, and smooth.

Better than the last bottle I opened. This bottle displayed more typicity and sense of place for a Douro Valley table wine. The color is dark red. The nose gives off scents or chocolate, dark berries, cherries, and something else that I can only describe as Touriga Nacional. The palate is medium weight with good acidity and moderately firm tannins. Decent length on the finish with some complexity. Either the bottle was off or I as off last time I tasted this as tonight it was a much better bottle.

Some dark fruit, mint, and raisins on the nose. Medium to full body, soft lush tannins with moderate acidity and a decent finish. I was a little disappointed by this wine, not because it tastes bad but because it lacks typicity for a Douro Valley red wine. This was served to me blind and my first guess was CA Cab. Last guess was Douro red. Still, it's a yummy wine that tastes good if a bit simple.

The best portuguese wine. Best quantity - price wine. Cherry color and a fruity taste. Long finish and sweet taste.
