This bottle got lost in my cellar. Not a whole lot going on here. I think its a bit past its prime. Most of the fruit is gone. Medium bodied. No visible tannin.

Bottle taken from my personal cellar, double-decanted and served to guests at the home of Amy Weinberg (her birthday party). The afternoon was warm at this outdoor affair in her backyard, making the serving temperature several degrees higher than what it should have been. Bright disc. Medium garnet robe with orange rim. Clean nose, showing very intense leather, cocoa, clove, vanilla, cherry and mint. Medium bodied on the palate, with melted tannins and similar complex flavors as for the nose. Long, slightly hot finish (likely due to the alcohol from the higher than optimum serving temperature. Overall the wine showed well, but the fruit has definitely faded and will likely be completely gone within the next couple of years.

Minimal bricking. Still drinking well to me. Fruit mostly gone, but some nice mocha notes and it still a merlot evenness and refreshing acidity.

Nice but over the hill. We opened a 1995 the same evening that was still showing but this was faded.
