Blind Tasting (San Francisco, CA): Coravin 9/7/15. Medium-deep ruby color with minimal bricking; nose has some red fruits, cherry, spice; palate is full bodied, high alcoholic heat, a bit unbalanced, some red cherry fruit, tart towards the end; finish is short-medium and bitter. Nose>palate. This is a substantial step down from 1.75 years ago when I had my last bottle. Drink up now, this will only head downward. 82-83 A few hours of air: the nose really fleshed out with blackberry, mint/menthol, still some excess alcohol; palate is more integrated, slight spice, midpalate fades, but finish is medium length. 86-88 now, but still drink up. 9/11/15: Complex nose of blackberry, plum fruit, mint/menthol; palate is full bodied, balanced, black fruit; short-medium finish. Consistent with last note. Very nice. Nose>>palate, on the basis of the nose it's up to 87 points now.

A well above average merlot, still drinking well 10 years on. Fruit is still prominent.
