A rich, green-tinged darkening gold. Gorgeous, honeyed nose with beurre noisette, butter toffee and orange. Luscious, rich attack. Sweet, yet also very fresh, with a lovely acidity keeping it thoroughly balanced. Deep and concentrated with a caramelised orange note, and an almost broad bean freshness. Haunting length.

Lovely fresh, light, fragrant nose with beurre noisette, honey and orange zest. Lots of orangey and sweet apple fruit on the palate, with a honeyed richness pulling it together. The acidity feels much more integrated than the last bottles (opened about 10 years ago). But there's also a savoury edge to it too. Doesn't quite have the same freshness as previous bottles (hardly surprising after a further 10 years and now it's almost 20 years old). On first opening, it felt like it might be a little tired, but it has started to open up nicely after just 10 minutes.

Edinburgh Offline (Peter's Cellars): Didn't take a proper note on this, as I knew what it was and just enjoyed it: orange and citrus. Excellent balance of honeyed botrytis and fruit. Very Good Indeed.

A very yellow, medium gold. The nose is somewhat unusual: very intense, honey and orange with a strong raisiny undercurrent and a bit scented too - there's almost a hint of retsina to the nose. Nice attack: very light and fresh. Then it fills dramatically and develops in richness and sweetness. Very concentrated indeed. Very well balanced and with great structure and finesse. It has a lovely 'feel' to it and is very enticing. Very rich and concentrated - almost marmaladey flavours. Very Good Indeed.

14%, 500ml A rich, very yellow deep gold - quite unctuous looking. Incredibly intense nose: deep, deep, multi-layered, with some hone, some sweet citrus, raisiny and creamy, like bread and butter pudding in a way. Nice, bright, fruity attack. Then it explodes with flavour. Rich; very rich. Great depth of complex flavours. Very rounded. Slightly marmaladey flavours, with rich orangey, orange-zesty flavours. Just a touch of rather odd bitter orange fruit on the finish. Very Good Indeed+.
