  • A perfect bottle to provide a badly needed positive note to the start of 2021. Aerated to start, didn't chill much lower than winter cellar temp. Balance is outstanding on this wine between flavors and structure. Honey, licorice, hazelnut.

  • Beautiful amber color. Opens up with air. Ripe pineapple, honey on nose. Rich on the palate, not much acid but still in balance. Another fascinating mature Tours. Somehow got a case of this and this is the first bottle, so will be enjoying more soon as this is in a great place.

  • Much, much younger appearance compared to the 2003. This is young. A floral nose with marks of pineapple and liquid soil (schist). Remarkably fresh on the palate, moves along nicely with finesse. The fruit is pure and poised. Wow. Tremendous.

  • White peaches, white flowers, honey, clove, bottle age, touch of earth on the nose. In the mouth - low acid and rich with considerable bottle age character. Has balance and a resolved, well modulated, alcoholic and custardy finish. This is brilliant wine that is obviously mature but is not drying out and brings a huge amount of complexity and style to the table. Final Bottle.

  • This is tremendous wine that is batting way above its pay grade. Opulent ripe apricot nose - oily texture. opulent - gorgeous oak, lots of caramel - generous alcohol - finish is long and dry. Multi-dimensional and unusual in its low acid rhone style -this wine is completely fresh and features wonderful herbal and mineral nuances that add depth and lightness to a rather large scaled wine. Based on this and the past few bottles opened, this wine will develop at least another 5 years. 91-92 points
