Pale ruby colour with a smoky nose with hints of strawberry and red cherries. On the palate more strawberry, vanilla, oak. Medium length finish. Good franken pinot noir.

Good colour, fairly light and enticing. Nose of cherry, rich and slightly oakey. Reminded me of NZ pinot. Good effort and very enjoyable with a strong finish. Not overly complex and more village than premier cru.

Lunch by Patrick Kimpel * with "Die besten deutschen Spätburgunder" (Rheingau Gourmet & Wine Festival Hattenheim, Germany): A very successful 2006, typical Centgrafenberg finesse, excellent fruit and style, fragrant, perfectly judged oak, delicious.

Delicious - upfront fruit, nicely balanced, spicy, oak a little prominent.
