  • It says drink within 1 year in the back label, but this still tasted ok. It's light in body fading towards the rim and a little bricking. It's all sharp red cherry and cranberry fruit. A nice summer red. Not sure if it was worth cellaring though, it didn't hurt the wine but I'm not sure that it improved it either.

  • Very pale colour. Not much on the nose, then very light-bodied on entry and pretty watery, with what interest there is coming on the peppery finish. Pleasant enough - probably best consumed al fresco, lightly chilled.

  • Drank at the winery over lunch offered by the Blanck family.
This is the "simple" pinot noir version from this producer who seems to be one of the few in Alsace to take his red wines seriously!
Pleasent and fruit-forward with fresh cherry and sour-cherry aromas. Light-bodied with good fruit and vibrant acidity. Fairly long, spicy finish. At least as good as the best generic Burgundies.
