  • Dark red. Generous nose of cassis, quite complex, with some spice. Varm, complex and fruity, almost chevy fruit. Good lenght, with som spice. Really good, Bordeaux-like. Save max two more years.

  • Dark red and purple color with a nice nose.
The first flavor is leather, tobacco, thyme, sun dried tomatoes and blackcurrant.
The balance is good, but I wouldn't keep the 05 for much longer as the tannin is a little high.
The different varieties of grapes are very apparent and gives the wine a lot of varied flavors and a certain amount of complexity.
The finish is of medium length (7-8).
Big difference with the 2011 I tasted a couple of weeks ago, I rate the 05 at least 2 points higher than the 2011.

90 pts

  • Remarkable red oozing with character. There is a sort of claret/nebbiolo duality going on here. Deep fresh blackcurrant and sour blackberries with charcoal/coal, violets, ceps, and burnt wood. A mix of fresh and savoury qualities, which is that rare combination that keeps you drinking regardless of the season. Acidity fresh, tannins firms, finish long and both earthy and fruity. May I have another glass?

89+ pts
